Maria (Marisa) Luisa Vaglica
Maria Luisa Vaglica (“Marisa”) is an Associate Attorney at Eimerman Law. Marisa was born in Detroit, Michigan, and is a first-generation Italian. Marisa earned her bachelor’s degree at Wayne State University and her Juris Doctorate from Indiana University McKinney School of Law. While attending law school, Marisa worked as a Certified Legal Intern for a family law firm in Indianapolis. Marisa also worked as an Intern for Kids’ Voice of Indiana in their Guardian ad Litem program. In 2018 Marisa served as a Clerk for the 16th Circuit Court in Michigan for the Honorable Judge Viviano. Marisa has passionately served as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) and Guardian Ad Litem since 2017. While in law school, Marisa participated in the Child Advocacy Law Clinic where she was able to work with clients alongside licensed Attorneys.
Additionally, Marisa has completed extensive research on Lead Poisoning in children and is currently working with the Lead Poisoning Advisory Group (LPAG) to reform and create legislation to protect Indiana’s children from the harsh harms of lead poisoning. Throughout her work with LPAG, Marisa has worked with several state elected officials and with several organizations such as the Indiana State Department of Health and the NAACP.
Marisa currently sits on the board of the Children’s Rights Commission of the Indy Bar.
